It’s a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of radical generosity.
It was created in 2012 to encourage people to do good, and since then has grown into an annual global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year, Giving Tuesday will be held on November 29th, 2022.
World Literacy Foundation is an international charitable organization operating in USA, Canada, Latin America, United Kingdom, Europe, Africa, and Australia. We are on a mission to ensure that all children, regardless of their geographic location, have the opportunity to acquire literacy skills, and books to reach their full potential.
For many kids like Joseph, this is their reality, but it doesn’t have to be. With your help, we can provide books, pencils, and educational resources to children in your region, and across the globe.
Let’s change the world, one pencil at a time.
Together we can end illiteracy and create a better world for many generations to come.
We are currently in a global learning crisis. There are 700 million people worldwide who are unable to read a simple text and write their own name. In the U.S. reading test scores have plummeted even more as a result of Covid-19. We can end illiteracy and create a better future for our children, but it will take all of us working together.

Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event. Donors do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated crypto that is donated and can typically deduct the fair market value of the donation on their taxes. This often makes Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrency donations one of the most tax efficient ways to support your favorite cause. Talk to a crypto-savvy tax professional or connect with The Giving Block to get connected with one. Your donation will be put to work where it is most needed as soon as possible in support of our mission. Your donation will be immediately converted into fiat; therefore, we do not offer refunds on any donations that are made in cryptocurrency. We are not able give refunds if you changed your mind, sent the wrong cryptocurrency or made the wrong decision. We will never offer any form of cryptocurrency airdrop, goods or services in return for a donation.
